The Shell & Tube Sharps cartridge is as easy to use.

The "Tube" holds the powder charge, and the "Shell" holds the bullet.

The fit between the Tube and the Shell is such that the friction holds the    cartridge together.

As the cartridge is inserted into the gun the Shell stops on the breech    allowing the Tube to push the bullet into the rifling.

When the cartridge is removed the powder charge drops in behind the    bullet.

Use a loading block to hold tube upright, and load powder into tube using    a powder measuring device.

Insert bullet into shell deep enough so that the shell can be held upside    down without the bullet falling out.

Insert bullet/shell on top of tube.

If bullet/shell does not slide onto tube smoothly, use corn starch, baby    powder, or a light lubricant to help the shell slide easier.

Note: If a Ringtail bullet is used, the tail of the bullet should not go inside the tube.

This may result in the tube binding in the gun during loading.
