The Standard Style tends to work better with non-tapered bullets like the Buffalo bullet, or a Wadcutter bullet. This is because Ring-Tail and other types of tapered bullets tend to seat farther into the breach and this can leave very little of the tube to grab on to for removing the cartridge after the bullet is inserted.
